The Rust Library Advisory Board (RLAB) awards one or more scholarships each year in the amount of $1000 to local high school seniors. Scholarships are based on merit without regard to race, gender, religion, physical disability or sexual orientation. 

Eligibility

The RLAB Scholarship is an unrestricted award with selection preference given to students who apply with all or some of the following qualifications:

• high school seniors residing in Leesburg, Virginia

• Rust Library involvement such as volunteering or use of library resources (programs, MakerSpace, Teen Center etc) 

• demonstrated academic achievements

• extracurricular activities and leadership roles

• future goals in higher education

Deadline

The deadline for the 2024-25 RLAB Scholarship is March 1, 2025. Applicants will be notified within six to eight weeks after the application deadline.
